Christmas Day Walks in London

5.45am: The West End Tour

Magical, special, unique – a truly unusual way to spend Christmas Day morning in London.

If you have never seen London almost empty, this is really the only opportunity to do so all year. A really memorable tour for locals and visitors.

BOOK NOW

Christmas Day morning is the one time of the year when London is effectively closed, quiet and empty. Our route is designed to take in many of London’s most iconic sights at their most eerily deserted and finish with the streets a little busier but full of festive cheer.

We meet before dawn, at 5.45am at Admiralty Arch, setting off before Big Ben chimes 6am. We will walk through the West End, Mayfair and Soho and almost certainly be the only people in Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus, Oxford Street and Regent Street.

As the sun comes up we will visit a cafe where we can all enjoy a coffee and breakfast.

As well as the familiar sights, you will see and hear about plenty of things that aren’t in the guidebooks and wherever possible I'll customise the walk to include the interests of everyone in the group.

There will be a break and plenty of complimentary festive treats during the morning.

11am & 3pm: The Seven Noses of Soho Christmas Specials

Legend has it that if you see all the “Seven Noses of Soho” you will attain infinite wealth. If the legend is true then this has to be the best value walking tour that has ever been offered! If the legend doesn’t quite live up to expectations you will still be able to proudly boast of your achievement.

This special Christmas Day version of my most popular tour takes in all Seven Noses, a very grand eighth nose, and a ghost nose.

A Nose of Soho

Along the way you will learn about the creation of the noses and the myths surrounding them. You will also see numerous other “hidden gems” including an unusual Victorian fund-raising device and some “secret” art, to top it all there is even a bonus ear!

Soho, like the rest of central London is very busy 364 days a year. We will be walking through Soho on the one day when it is quiet. The group size will be kept deliberately small to encourage a convivial and chatty atmosphere.

The noses are dotted around the Soho area. Guided by a fully qualified City of Westminster Guide you will also be seeing some great architecture, hearing about the history of the area and walking in the footsteps of Mozart, Marx and Jimi Hendrix, through some of Soho’s finest and most atmospheric streets.
